Tekoma Boutik Hotel Rodrigues, the art of bare foot luxury. THE HOTEL

Each room has been designed as an individual unit, providing comfort and privacy, as well as an exceptional view on the surrounding natural elements. The rooms are all equipped with a king size bed, facing a large window overlooking the bay. All the furniture is in solid teak. The natural shade of teak wood is enhanced by a slight lime washed look which is in line with the local rustic atmosphere. In contrast, the fabrics provide a subtle combination of turquoise and brown which warms up the whole atmosphere. All the rooms are also equipped with a couch, a mini bar, a safe and a 32′ flat screen.

Each bathroom is equipped with a walk in closet, two natural stone sinks, a hair dryer, an Italian shower and a toilet. An outdoor bathtub situated opposite the shower provides the opportunity to move from one to the other in strict intimacy. The design of the bathroom has been thought of to promote a feeling of well-being and of intimacy.

From the hotel, access to numerous neighbourhood outdoor activities is quick and convenient: nautical sports, walk to the splendid Trou d’Argent beach…

Tekoma Hotel is located 30 minutes from the airport, and 15 minutes from Port Mathurin, the chief town.

THE RESTAURANT & BAR

For those who want to enjoy local flavours, Tek Tropical Dining offers a choice of traditional local dishes, as well as a variety of international ones. The Chef obtains his ingredients from local farmers and fishermen – engaged in controlled fishing – so that guests can enjoy an authentic dining experience, based on local offering. The warm atmosphere of the restaurant extends to a large sheltered terrace, in the middle of a beautiful courtyard garden, protected from the Trade winds… This space provides the ideal set up for unwinding. A special daily menu is available, and themed evenings offer a variety of culinary meals. The Chef also prepares special menus for children.

Barefoot in the sand, enjoy the slow pace of life in Rodrigues… The Kreek Beach Club is ready to welcome you for a refreshing drink: fruit juices, cocktails, wine and spirits are served, with snacks, until dusk.

Jacky, our diving aficionado, offers you a warm welcome, and invites you to discover the hidden treasures of the island of Rodrigues, away from the prying eyes of the crowds. He believes in sharing his passion of our rich and valuable underwater world.

This one of a kind Dive Centre, which opened on October 1st, caters for all levels of divers, from the highly experienced diver, certified level 1 and level 2 divers and even beginner divers. We encourage our divers to explore new sites and in case they discover previously undiscovered marine life, we offer the honour of naming it! Jacky’s Dive Centre truly has the promise of an intense and powerful diving experience !

Whether you are a beginner or experienced, there are a wide range of potential spots offered to you, ranging between 1 and 31m deep. We recommend the months of October through to May as the perfect time to explore our wonderful dive destination.

There is true underwater richness in Rodrigues, characterised by the diversity of fish, majestic coral reefs that have been created through centuries of growth, marine life and storms and of course the caves and arches that have been formed by the tidal currents. All of this helps to host an impressive array of ocean wildlife making it a real reward for any diver!
